Visit to Tanjong Batu Plantation

There is a profound sense of accomplishment in seeing a vision take root. My recent visit to our Tanjong Batu plantation in Indonesia was a reminder of the scale and dedication behind every drop of our oil.

A Growing Legacy: 10,000+ Seedlings

The plantation is teeming with life. We currently have over 10,000 seedlings in our nursery, laying the groundwork for future generations of sustainable Agarwood. Alongside these young starts are tens of thousands of established trees stretching across the horizon.

Beyond the new growth, I was particularly impressed by our Adult Agarwood trees, now over 8 years old. These mature trees have reached a critical stage where their heartwood begins to hold the promise of high-grade resin, a result of years of patience and expert care.

Inspection: The Richness of the Resin

The highlight of the trip was checking the resin development within one of our mature trees. Agarwood, often called "Liquid Gold," only reveals its true character when the tree produces its signature dark resin in response to natural triggers.

Inspecting the heartwood of our older trees showed exceptional resin saturation. The depth of color and the beginning of that unmistakable, complex aroma confirm that our Agarwood trees are reaching peak quality.

Seeing the journey from a tiny seedling to an Adulthood giant reminds us that quality cannot be rushed. We look forward to bringing the harvest from Tanjong Batu to you soon.
