Craftsmen perfected the slow and intricate process of transforming resin-infused wood into fragrant oil through hydro-distillation and steam distillation. THE PROCESS OF EXTRACTION
Only the most resin-rich parts of the Aquilaria tree are selected. These chips are soaked in water for several days to activate natural fermentation, releasing complex aromatic molecules. The wood is then gently heated in copper or steel stills over a slow flame. As the steam rises and condenses, it carries the essence of agarwood — drop by drop — forming the precious oil known as Dehn Al Oud.
